Might get one around Black Friday once they have a bundle with MARIO cart and MARIO land or whatever the new one is ... until then I'll wait for the price to come down and kinks to be worked out. If they get worked out

It looks like after the damage done on launch day, you're going to have to wait about a week for consoles to come back in stock again, and even then they'll take a while to ship to you. Totally out of stock at Amazon, Walmart, Target, Gamestop, etc...

I was lucky enough to think of hhgregg and just ordered myself a Switch and Breath of the Wild, which is still in stock because nobody thought to look there in my area.

Wow first time I've seen this, but I also don't buy overpriced consoles. On top of the price gougers, you have scams on Amazon, and Ebay. Don't buy any that is under the MSRP, and watch out for the seller rating. That is for everyone not just you. The companies that make the Switch are going to be doubling their production, so more consoles should ship the rest of the year.

As far as tips

Some websites might give you auto-notifications to let you know when the console comes back in stock, they will email you when they are back in, heck might even text you nowadays.

Best way to get one is to go to your local stores, and ask when they get electronic shipments in, and try to meet them when the truck comes in. I had to take a day off of work to get my Wii, but I got it when Scalpers were still charging out the Wazoo for em. Walmart IIRC was Wednesday at 1pm in my town, Gamestop is Tuesday morning at 9AM IIRC. That might not be the same case for you, but that is why you should ask. Good luck! I'm going to wait for more games to come out before I make a decision to buy.<<<< This is what Scalpers most likely do.

Also, it might be best to wait, I know that folks were having issues with the left Joycon. The issue will be fixed in future shipments according to Nintendo.

There's a game for Switch that's also on PC I'm interested in, Snake Pass. Just came out this week, anyone play it yet? Reminds me of the days of the old Rare Studios games.

I bought it on Xbox One (worth noting this is also an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so purchasing it from either the Windows store or through Xbox gets you both the PC & Xbox versions) and the game is pretty fun. Definitely a unique title and controlling the snake is easy to pick up and understand, but tough to master. The courses seem a little basic at first, but it doesn't take long for them to ramp up the difficulty.

The gameplay is definitely more in line with older Rare titles in terms of being centered around collecting things. If you're a completionist this game will have some replayability as you try to collect the hidden medals in each level since it's not always as simple as just collecting it - you have to safely return to the playing level and save your game (or finish the level) for it to register.

Is it worth $20 for everyone? No. I recommend it to anyone that enjoys playing unique indie games that perform well and look great. Fair warning - this game does wear out my hand/thumb after 3 or 4 levels since you're constantly moving the thumb stick left and right to slither faster, and climbing vertically takes some work.

Hoping this holds me over until Yooka-Laylee releases (which was created by devs that worked on the Banjo Kazooie games)
