Lone Survivor: The Eyewitness Account of Operation Redwing and the Lost Heroes of SEAL Team 10 written by Marcus Luttrell

I read the book in one day. This is a gripping recount of how an actual mission went terribly bad, written by the only survivor.

Just finished reading it. I'd give it four out of five stars. The liberal stuff...I know why it is in there , he blames that stuff for the decision they made up there on Murkhy's Ridge... it still just rubbed me the wrong way...on the other hand I did like how he linked his survival in part to his faith

I just finished "A Team of Rivals" by Doris Kearns Goodwin. It's about Abe Lincoln's cabinet. Interesting but tedious.

After plodding through that scholarly work, I decided it was time for some fast food, a little cheap action-adventure fluff, so now I am reading W.E.B Griffin's latest, The Outlaws. I am seriously addicted to his books even though they can be cookie-cutter stupid, but I like cookies.
A Team of Rivals is austounding piece of work and travels you through tjme

Rogue Hero's - The history of the SAS" by Ben MacIntyre

It's been pretty good if you enjoy war stories.

'Better Be The Devil' - Ian Rankin

It's the latest in the John Rebus series. Rebus was an Edinburgh detective. This is the 2nd book (I think) that Rankin has written where Rebus is retired.

I don't read many books anymore. Mostly articles, including magazines.

But I do listen to audiobooks when travelling, hiking, and biking.

I'm relistening to "The Making of the Atomic Bomb", which is an epic. It starts out very slow, then builds to an amazing finish.
