Stephens Pipe and Steel in Winder Ga. I would also call a few steel fabricators in the Columbia area for some advice.

Your biggest problem is finding an outfit that will sell it to you on a retail basis. Not many retail customers for the pipe you are looking for. I would also call some welding shops, fence companies to see if they can get you a number.

..Gotcha, finding the right wall thickness will also be a key. I really would try some weld shops to get their input.

That would be stupid heavy, that diameter would only be created for drainage or pumping large amounts of water, so it would be need to be a pretty thick guage. you want a half ton smoker?

Im with Willb on this one. Maybe aluminum would suit this best ?? Maybe stainless steel. Buy in a sheet and take it to a fabricator to roll and bend to your liking ??

I was on a team that fabbed a 46" pipe for a project for a new locke in the panama canal, we had to get that freighted in from bama i think, then i had to load it up and haul it to some place outside of Florence to get it sandblasted inside and out to make sure it was flawless for painting. Not sure if you want to coat it with a high temp grill paint or not, but you'd probably want to find a place that can do that before you paint it. rust is pretty touch to get off that much square footage.

if he were to try to roll, he'd have to roll it in shorter sections and then weld all of those sections together to make one long pipe. I don't think they can roll eight or 10 foot sections of material. good idea though!

..If he could get 2 5 footers he may have a chance. =Town and Country Industries in Columbia would be a great start for the stainless and or aluminum. There numbers are very good and their service is the best.

Smoovie is right about Town and Country. Also you could try American Metals in Charlotte. They deliver.
