![]() I was down on the far end of the practice field, right next to the intial 7 on 7 drills and witnessed what I thought to be another classic, hilarious Spurrier-QB interaction. Shaw was at QB for a play and shortly after the snap Spurrier was right behind him yelling "THERE IT IS! THERE IT IS!". The play broke down, Shaw scrambled to the left, and the play was blown dead. Spurrier went up to Shaw and began talking to him (I couldn't make out the conversation). When Damiere Byrd came jogging back to the LOS, Spurrier said to him "Hey, tell him how wide open you were! Come over here and tell him how wide open you were!". Gotta love Steve. One of my favorite parts of being a Gamecock fan haha.

![]() Without a doubt the most frustrating thing for Steve is when QBs don't see the field the way he does.
Which, I think, is about everybody.

IT'S MY GAMEFACE !

For the first time in YEARS . . .he doesn't have to be durable enough to go long into games. We actually have another guy or two who can come in and give Byron Jerideau a blow if he needs it. . . . Kelcy Quarles is looking real good and improving with each practice. He'll see the field a lot this fall. We also have North Dixon and Phillip Dukes who are getting some work with the 2nd unit Line and have done some good things. We are deep and talented on our front for the first time in a while, and our starters don't have to run on empty like they did a couple of years ago. I'll stand by my statement however that when Byron IS in the game, He will make believers out of a lot of people. The guy moves and plays like he was half his weight, and I seriously doubt fatique will enter into the equation of whether he is a better player than Ladi was.
