An idea I shared with a friend a while back was take the gaming aspect of facebook and expand it. Make people pay to play real console games online, on facebook. Not their same shitty 2D farmville type games, but a real console game such as Call of Duty or Madden. It could broaden them from being just a social networking site, to a social network/gaming site. It was just an idea I had, and to be honest, they need all the ideas they can get right now.

They became popular and hot because, initially, facebook was not for everyone. Facebook was for cliques within Harvard, then became a Harvard thing, then became a Universities thing and kept opening access from there. And they opened the doors for free instead of making people pay for exclusivity.

I believe facebook can become the online concierge, travel agent, deal hunter, diner's club, AAA-club, preferred shopper, insider information, ticket scalping, Christmas/birthday present recommending virtual broker for the consumer.

Facebook does well what companies have been trying to do for ages: they survey audiences and can pinpoint down to the single person what the people want and how much they are willing to pay for it.

So in theory, a virtual store can offer an item or service and give the consumer an almost individual price point based on each individual or groups' interest. The consumer gives this information voluntarily, candidly and thoroughly way beyond what they would give on a registration form, comment card or cold call.

so I think facebook will introduce content and services that are free and also content and services the facebook user can pay for. They will find a way to make this exclusive portion of facebook relatively cheap and may even make it not an option for a significant portion of the populous (at least in the short term).

Muschamp said he doesn't have a 3 year or 5 year plan, his plan is to win now and decisions will be based on winning now.

Muschamp believes that recruiting within a five-hour radius of USC, "we can recruit good enough players to win the East every year."

You mean for say, Rappers, Musicians, and Actors? Actors enjoy using facebook as a platform to get more of an audience. Not to mention Comedians have their fair share as well. Kevin Hart is one that comes to mind.

I quit FB months ago. A lady I work with, her son-in-law is a big wig at FB in charge of sales and revenues. I think FB has changed so much lately to start earning money that it's turned people off.

I haven't missed FB at all since I stopped using it. It's a time suck. I think FB will continue to be used less by people. It will never go away but I think people will tire of it. However, the key for the stock is the revenue it generates. FB will be used enough by people that it won't tank but where is the balance between profit and their community that its value goes up?
