What does he run? Reminds me of like a troy williamson body type and running technique (I know troy was a single wing qb in high school talking about after converted in college). Looks like a track guy just running by everyone.

I thought someone already posted he runs like a 4.4 or so.

That what his Hudl profile says. Who creates those anyway? The players themselves? If so, they can put anything up there.

Pretty sure it's not the players creating their own profiles on there.

Hudl has their own staff just like Rivals, 247, Scout, etc. They're just a different type of service.

I remember Roddy White's recruitment. He was fast and had a lot of receiving yards, but he was listed as 5' 10" as late as his Junior year. Supposedly he grew to 6' 1" for his Senior year but our crack recruiting staff (under Holtz) were not fooled and passed on White for being too short. He had some sort of a connection to the coaches at UAB, and they were his only offer.

Turns out that he was not 6' 1", he was 6' 3" and a future First Rounder. Holtz also passed on Tim Jennings for being too short....I think he is still playing in the league and doing well.

Sad, but true! Roddy grew almost 6 inches between his Junior and Senior year. He was always super athletic and even at 5'10 played multiple positions for James Island HS.

We lost Dunlap because Lawing reportedly got drunk and cussed him out over the phone.

I'm not overly sure we aggressively recruited anyone at the Fort after that, Quinn went to UNC and every other top player seems to have picked Clemson.

Sounds like Elliott has laid a solid foundation, now that he'll actually get some Recruiting Coordinator/HBC support we may start getting our share.

Hudl profiles and highlights are done by the players. I coach and have helped players create their bio and highlights through hudl. It's very user friendly.

Yeah, I heard the Dunlap stories. I was staying at the Carolina Inn when Dunlap did his OV - same weekend as the Shrine Bowl. I was having breakfast and had finished reading the newspaper, and CD Senior was looking a paper so I gave it to him. CD Junior came over right afterwards looking for a paper also.

What they were wanting to see was The State's all-state team, which included Dunlap, but the write-up noted that he was a Shrine Bowl selection. Which he wasn't, and it was a big snub. Sometimes I think the idiots in our state drive the local players away intentionally.

I also heard there was some animosity between Senior and Junior's mom - Senior was a USC alumni (basketball player) and wanted Junior at USC, Momma wanted him to go somewhere else to spite Senior.

Anyway, great getting Diondre and I hope that helps with Simpson, Joyner and future Fort D players. They have passed Summerville in the local HS pecking order. We typically recruit well in the Midlands and Low Country, Clemson has the edge in the Upstate, so the Fort should be ours.

The players create their own profile and highlights. My son's coach helped him put together his highlights. Interestingly enough, none of his turnovers, bad passes or missed reads were included. My son listed himself at 5-11 but was closer to 5-9. If anyone's interested, http://www.hudl.com/athlete/866417/robinson-sanders

Elliott has not missed on the top O lineman from the state since he has been here, no need to change it this year!
Mitch Hyatt says hello but generally Elliott has been able to get the best OL talent in the state.... Welcome to the GAMECOCK nation Mr. Champagne, look forward to seeing you torch some special teams next year in the Brice!!

He would be saying it from his home in Georgia and probably from his uncle's house who was a former tigger.

Hi back at ya Mitch Hyatt - but let me remind you ain't from South Carolina, you from Georgia. Different state.

And Hyatt s a Clemson legacy, his uncle Dan Benish was a Clemson D Linemen and he was taking Hyatt to games since he was a little kid. So it did not take a great effort to get him.

We generally have recruited much better on the O Line - Clemson does well with QBs and WRs because of their video game offense, not so well for O Linemen and RBs. But they are improving there with their recent success.

Dammit, you are too quick on the "trigger" with the "tigger" comment.

If I was an O lineman, I would stay away from Clemson - not good training for the pros. On the other hand, it is easy to get postseason honors - Mac Lain was preseason all-ACC and had started only one game in his career, made First Team at the end of the year. All of their O Line starters made one of the all-ACC teams, even Tyrone "Pork Chop" Crowder, who was not starting at the end of the year.
