Well, Direct announced that it will be phasing out satellite TV over the next few years and focus on streaming. I've got about 4 months left on my contract and will be departing. My big question is what to do with 4 TV's....and the need to get outside antennas to capture the best of the Charlotte and Columbia HD markets free. I have Roku with Netflix but I'm not sure how to connect the outside antennas. Can I just hook into the existing wiring in my house. It was formerly cable, then DISH, then Direct. Looks like I could just plug the antenna(s) into the junction on my house where the satellite cable is hooked. Any thoughts?

Simple answer is yes. It's coax and should work. Mine did with an omnidirectional antenna and one amplifier in the basement. I have 3600 sq ft and watch the locals as far away from the antenna as I can get. The coax feeds into a primary distribution panel and then out to the rest of the house.

Yes, that should work. Keep in mind, when you have 2-3 services messing around with your wiring, who know's what they did. Ideally, they should have 1 cable from the antenna/dish and (1) 4 way splitter with independent runs to each tv. Every time they split the signal it weakens, you might need to add some amplification.

IT Works!!! had DIRECTV just plugged my ANT in and feed all 3 TV's. The ANT came with a small AMP.

Not sure if it is available to all of you but we just cut the cord and got YouTube TV. We still get CBS and some local stations, ESPN, espn2, espnu, sec network, amc, usa, cw on demand, disney, disney jr. And some other stations. (I think our area has like 40 plus stations?) The channel line up changes due to the area you are zoned for but is worth checking out.
It is $40 a month.
Unlimited DVR
6 streams at once ( this is why we chose YouTube TV over sling )

There is a lot of info out there that can make everything kind of overwhelming at first. However, this was a very painless and easy transition for us.

Yep, I just grabbed the coax cable that was previously used for cable and connected it to the HD antenna.
